Senegal – Ferlo region (1981)

Typical landscape of Northern Sahel. During dry seaon, herb coverage wanes and only thorny shrubs remain, which are adapted to desertic climate. Remember this area is also endemic for various mycetomas. In 1981, the way of life was mainly pastoral, so the well on the pic has a curb, along with a trough for cattle.
