Mountain rice paddies. In this hilly area of Vietnam (former Indochina) Anopheles minimus is the main vector for malaria. Breeding sites of this endophilic, anthropophilic, endophagous mosquito are rice paddies and irrigation ditches. Anopheline mosquitoes are less or more active, according to rice growth and maturation.
