Slaughter area. In Mauretania, E. granulosus lifecycle (camel G6 strain) has dog as definitive host, and dromedarian camelids or bovids as regular intermediate hosts. G6 strain is thought to be moderately pathogenic for humans, but some cases have been reported from Mauretania. Insert: stray dog in a souk.
