Burkina-Faso, Bobo-Dioulasso area – Kou valley (1986)

Biomphalaria sp. and Bulinus sp. snails on the reverse of a leave from aquatic vegetation. This leave was collected in a permanent water hole used for drinking water supply by inhabitants of the nearby village. This way of life induces a contamination loop, between the infected water and the people.
