Blastocystis sp. cysts – Human stools (MIF concentrate X 1000)

Blastocystis sp. is a very pleiomorphic Protozoa, with diameter ranging from 2 µm to 200 µm. In the vacuolar form, a central body looks like a large vacuole surrounded by a thin band of peripheral cytoplasm which contains other organelles.
