Acanthamoeba sp. – Cysts in 2 % agar medium covered with E. coli layer

Cysts are polygonal, star-shaped bodies, from 15 to 25 µm in diameter. They display a double wall, which merges in several places. Strain isolated from a storage solution for contact lenses.
