Toxoplasma gondii – Tachyzoites in CSF sample (MGG stain X1000)

Numerous small (2 µm to 3 µm) crescent-shaped tachyzoites of T. gondii may be seen within CSF cells. Rounded nucleus stained dark red, and is very apparent. Lower left corner: a free single parasite.
