Entamoeba histolytica / E. dispar – trophozoite in stools (MIF concentrate)

Trophozoits of E. histolytica and Entamoeba dispar (14 µm X 21 µm) display a finely granular cytoplasm, and a nucleus with a small, dot-like central caryosome. Entamoeba histolytica is the causative agent of amebiasis.
