Babesia divergens on thin blood smear (MGG stain, X1000)

Usually, trophozoites of Babesia divergens (aka Piroplasma), look like flame or jugger’s club. Parasites budd off into RBC, and several specimens may infect one RBC, displaying remarkable figures.
