Nucleus is central, and posterior tip is on the right. Flagellar pocket appears like a lighter area, which flagellum merges from. Below flagellar pocket, the elongate body is the kinetoplast. Trypanosoma brucei is the causative agent of african trypanosomiasis (including the human African sleeping sickness and related animal diseases).
