Concerning CSF examination during AT, assessment of cell count, and of chemistry and immunology parameters, togeteher with microscopy detection of parasites are mandatory tests (i) to make a diagnosis of CNS involvement (ii) to orientate therapy choices (iii) and finally to carry out post-treatment follow-up.
