Cyclospora cayetanensis – Oocysts in stools (modified Ziehl-Neelsen stain)

After Ziehl-Neelsen staining, oocysts of C. cayetanensis stain pink or red, or remain unstained. They are very similar to those of C. parvum, but are larger (8 µm to 10 µm vs 5 µm).
