Endolimax nana and Entamoeba coli – Cysts in formalin-fixed stools

The background of the slide is entirely covered by cysts of E. nana, which are easily recognized due to a thin shell, along with a hyaline cytoplasm. Within each cyst, 4 nuclei appear like small whitish balls. Larger cysts of E. coli, containing several nuclei, are also visible on the pic.
