Pseudolimax bütschlii – Cyst (8 µm to 15 µm) in formalin-fixed stools

Cysts of P. bütschlii have a glycogen vacuole which stains with Lugol iodine. In the nucleus, the refringent, ovoid or rounded karyosome is surrounded by a clear halo of refringent granules.
