Entamoeba histolytica – trophozoite (20 µm to 40 µm) in stools (MIF concentrate)

A trophozoite of E. histolytica has ingested a RBC that stains red. Nucleus displays typical features, namely a central dot-like karyosome and a peripheral chromatine arranged in fine granules evenly disposed. Entamoeba histolytica is the causative agent of amebiasis.
