Entamoeba histolytica, or E. dispar – Trophozoite in stools (wet mount)

Morphology examination cannot differentiate between E. histolytica and E. dispar. In wet mount, an invisible nucleus, along with hyaline, finger-like pseudopods are diagnostic criteria for E. histolytica or E. dispar.
