Ocular toxoplasmosis – Active chorioretinitis

France, Fillacier Kathleen

Edematous area with a blurred, scarcely hemorrhagic outline, very evocative of toxoplasmosis in a patient complaining of vision loss. The active foci of toxoplasmosis are whitish, with a few hemorrhages, and display an appearance of “cotton-ball”. They often pass unoticed when they are on eye periphery, but they worsen vision when they are on the macula.
