Trichomoniasis – T. vaginalis (15 to 20 µm) on vaginal smear examination (MGG)

When stained by MGG, T. vaginalis appears like a large bluish cell. The nucleus is large and ovoid. The axostyle is continued longitudinally through the body, and protrudes posteriorly. Anterior flagella are hardly visible on this picture.
