Trichuris trichiura – Whipworm egg in stools (MIF concentrate X400)

This egg is lemon or barrel-shaped. The outer shell is thick, colored in dark brown, and closed by 2 mucous prominent caps. The inner shell is colorless and rather thick. Egg not embryonated when shed.
