Hymenolepis diminuta – Eggs (60 µm to 80 µm) in stools

Hymenolepis diminuta parasitizes rats. Eggs are larger than those of H. nana. The light brown outer shell is rather thick, and displays a finely radial pattern, which is well apparent on this pic. The inner shell may be thickened at both poles, and never bears chalazas.
