Canine hookworm dermatitis – Creeping disease

Creeping disease is caused by canine hookworm’s filariform larva migrating through the skin. The contamination occurs when Man comes into contact with ground polluted by canine fecal deposits. Within a few days after penetration, the filariform larva begins to migrate slowly, producing an erythematous, linear, serpiginous and elevated tunnel.
