Loiasis – Adult Loa loa worm migrating under conjunctiva

Spectacular but harmless manifestation of loiasis. Adult worm slips between sclera and conjunctiva then goes back into orbite, around the eyeball. It induces a less or more strong conjunctival reaction, along with pruritus. It may be extracted when passing.
