Strongyloides stercoralis (threadworm) - Fllariform larva (500-600 µm X 15-20 µm)

Filariform larvae of Strongyloides stercoralis should be distinguished from vegetal hairs. These are refringent, have a pointed tip whereas the opposite one is truncated, and are cut by a longitudinal central canal (see upper body).
