Trichostrongylus sp. – Egg (90 µm X 40 µm) in stools

France, Pays Jean-François

Adults of Trichostrongylus sp. are small roundworms that usually parasitize ruminants’ digestive tract. Eggs are more elongate, but much larger than those of hookworms. They are asymmetrical in the main axis, since they have a rounded pole whereas the opposite tip is pointed.
