Clonorchis sinensis – Egg (25-30 µm X 15-17 µm) in stools

The egg of Clonorchis sinensis (China fluke) is small, oval-shaped, with a prominent operculum and a “shouldered” shell. At the abopercular end, a small appendix is called “mucron”. This egg is embryonated when shed.
