Taenia saginata – Adult worm : close view of the "unarmed" scolex

Unlike Taenia solium, scolex of T. saginata is pear-shaped, without any rostrum or hooklet (“unarmed taenia”). The four suckers are elliptic. The neck is half-less wider than head.
