Taenia saginata (up) and T. solium (down) – Adult worms : close view of proglottids

After injection of Indian ink through the genital pore, uterine bifurcations can be seen. For T. saginata, they are numerous (from 15 to 30 on each side), and branch in a dichotomic way. For T. solium, they are less than 10, and branch in a dendritic way.
