Paragonimus sp. – Egg (95 µm X 55 µm) in stools

The genus Paragonimus comprises several species. The egg color varies from light to dark brown. The egg is rather asymmetrical, operculate, with a shell which is “shouldered” around operculum. The shell is thin, but thickens at the abopercular end.
