Onchocerciasis – Subcutaneous nodule

Adult worms of both sexes are tangled up into subcutaneous nodules that vary in size from a pea to a pidgeon’s egg. These onchocercomas are distributed in regions of the body where a convergence of superficial lymphatics exists.
