Onchocerca volvulus – Microfilariae into skin (HES stain)

Two microfilariae surrounded by a strong fibrous reaction. Long cephalic space and rather small nuclei that are huddled together. Microfilariae are picked up in dermis by vectors, that are blood sucking female blackflies.
