Anisakis sp – Third stage larvae

Third stage larvae are infective for humans. They are whitish, from 2 cm to 3 long, and are often coiled. They resist to smoking, salting, mariner, soaking for one month in vinegar. Only flash deep-freeze at – 35 °C (US standards) or cooking over 60 °C can destroy them.
