Furuncular myiasis (Tumbu fly's maggot)

Cordylobia anthropophaga fly deposits the eggs on clothes placed to dry after washing. Should the items are not ironed, larvae can get into the skin. Larvae reach maturity within about 7 days. Myiasis common in sub-Saharan Africa. Lesions are mainly observed on the covered parts of the body.
