Intravenous heroin abuser. The folliculitis lesions of the beard involve papular or nodular lesions, often very painful. A skin candidiasis has to be diagnosed. This folliculitis is the hallmarks of the hematogenous spread of the yeast. Joint pain, myalgia and fever complement the clinical features. Candida albicans is usually the causal agent.
