Hair: White piedra due to Trichosporon ovoïdes [X1000]

Located along the shaft of the hair which is not invaded, the white nodule is a soft mass of white yeasts . The genous Trichosporon, here,  Trichosporon ovoïdes is the  implicated species, which proliferation leads to  the white piedra.
