Histoplasma capsulatum v. capsulatum microscopic - yeast-like forms in culture

Growth within 1 or 2 weeks of yeast-like phase of Histoplasma capsulatum is obtained on blood agar medium. In the starting culture only small yeasts are present, from 3 to 5 µm, later hyphae will be produced.
