Liver biopsy. Intracellular small yeasts, from 2 to 3 µm, surrounded by a clear halo in the cytoplasm of a Kupffer’s cell, RES cells, in the vascular lumen and in the portal vein macrophages yeast-like forms of Histoplasma capsulatum.
