Phialophora sp. – Direct microscopic examination

In the genus Phialophora, the septated hyphae are hyalin to brown and produce solitary phialides, sometimes gathered. Flask-shaped they have brownish, distinctive flaring collarettes. The ellipsoïdal hyaline conidia aggregate on the apex of the phialide.
