Syncephalastrum sp. – Direct microscopic examination

The genus Syncephalastrum presents with wide aseptate hyphae (Zygomycetes) producing spororangiophores with terminal vesicles which bear finger-like merosporangia directly over their entire surface. They contain an average of 10 merospores.
