Trichophyton terrestre – microscopic direct examination

T. terrestre has thin and septated hyphae with macroconidia, microconidia and intermediate forms. The club shaped macroconidia are thin and smooth walled, 2 to 8 celled . The microconidia germinate sometimes from short ramifications.
