Absidia corymbifera - Direct microscopic examination

Lichtheimia corymbifera is a zygomycota, a classic agent for mucormycosis. The sporangiophore is well delimited by its cell wall. One can hardly see, in transparency, the numerous cylindrical spores and the piriform columellae. The funnel-shaped apophysis is well developed.
