Lymphatic node: African histoplasmosis - Histoplasma capsulatum var. duboisii

Cervical or axillairy adenopathies, sometimes voluminous, occur frequently in african histoplasmosis or histoplasmosis due to H. capsulatum var. duboisii. They look like tuberculosis lesions. The puncture with a direct examination of the pus put in evidence the large yeasts, measuring from 8 to 20 µm, in a “8” shape.
