Alternaria sp. - microscopic examination (x100)

France, Gari-Toussaint Martine

Some filaments are pigmented. They differenciate by patches into some short conidiophores producing brown short chained spores (porospores) with an apical beack. When aging these spores present transversal or longitudinal septa. Alternaria species are the causative agents of alternariosis.
