Dermatophytosis on the face - Trichophyton mentagrophytes

In the ringworm, the lesion begins as a small erythematous zone, often pruriginous. Progressively the evolution will have a centrifugal spreading. After 8 to 15 days, the raised annular lesion is an erythematous, scaly rash rich in fungal hyphae, whereas the centre is clear with a healthy skin appearance.
