Aspergillus flavus - conidiophores - optical microscopy (A) and SEM

France, Miegeville Michel

The head of Aspergillus flavus is uni or bi seriated. It measures from 300 to 400 µm long and it is radiated. The phialides produce globulous and echinulated conidia, from 3,5 to 4,5 µm in diameter. The knobs covering the conidiophore are also characteristic of this species.
