Trichophyton mentagrophytes – direct microscopic examination

The conidiogenesis of Trichophyton mentagrophytes is generally abundant. We can see round microconidia gathered in clusters or in bunches and sausage-like macroconidia with smooth and thin cell wall. Notice the presence of the characteristic spiral hyphae.
