CSF : Cryptococcus neoformans - encapsulated yeasts (India ink)

To visualize the round yeasts during the microscopic examination of a centrifuged CSF, its dilution in India ink is recommended. They have variable sizes and are surrounded with a colorless halo corresponding to the capsule.
