Dermatophytosis (tinea or ringworm) of the foot - Trichophyton violaceum

One can notice the elevated edge of the scaly lesion on the ankle. It is an atypical localization of ringworm due to T. violaceum. An associated tinea capitis must be looked for. The diagnosis requires to take a sample from the border of the lesion.
