Dermatophytosis (tinea or ringworm) - Tinea imbricata (Tokelau)

France, CHU Necker Parasitologie-Mycologie

Tinea imbricata (Tokelau) is limited to Asia and Oceania and is due to Trichophyton concentricum. The scaly lesions, in concentric rosette, cover the major part of the trunk and the limbs. The diagnosis requires a sample from the border of the lesion with direct examination and culture.
