Dermatophytosis (tinea or ringworm) of the skin

It is an extended granulomatous perifolliculitis of the legs which can be caused by T. rubrum. The diagnosis requires to take sample from scalps on the edge of the inflammatory border associated with direct examination and culture (see also C168-C169).
