Tinea barbae

Tinea barbae (dermatophytosis) is the name used for infection of the beard and moustache areas of the face. The lesion is characterized by some successive folliculitis associated with an important inflammation and suppuration. The diagnosis is confirmed on the clinical history associated with direct examination and culture.
